Mom Is In Big Trouble!
Mom is in "big" trouble! Do you see those feet? They belong to our mom. We know her feet when we see them. She left us behind and went to the beach for 2 weeks. We overheard something about it being to "hot" for us fur babies. If it is too hot for fur babies; it's too hot for humans.
Mom left us in charge. I am not sure our human brothers got the memo, but we are in charge when she is not here. We do a pretty good job of guarding the place. We take notes if our human brothers bring anyone here they are not suppose too. We also have human back up from reliable experts. We call them spies, but don't tell our human brothers.
Got to go! We will deal with mom when she gets home. Until then, lots to do on the home front!

Richmond Dog Show and Nanuq
Hi, this is Nanuq! Don't tell Sitka, but I took over his blog again, today. I did not have a picture from yesterday. I found this old picture of me at therapy in moms photos and decided to use it. I am getting quite old and my joints are full of arthritis, but when duty called, I went.
Yesterday, I went to the dog show in Richmond, Virginia. I had a job to do. I was there as the test dog for the Canine Good Citizenship Test. There were lots of young whipper snappers who wanted to be certified. Some of them were ready and some still need more obedience training. It was a long 3 hours of work for me, but well worth it. One of the furry kids was handled by a human 12 year old little boy. The furry guy and his young owner plan to do therapy as community service. Mom and I are thankful GOD is raising up a new group of youngsters, both human and canine to carry on the good work GOD called us to do.
Dad bought me some yummy organic sweet potato treats as a reward. He knew it was tough on my joints. I normally spend most of my day on a doggie orthopedic bed by Dad's chair. Yum..Yum! I love rewards!

Praise for Wil
Mom took this picture when we were on Hatteras Island last February of Wil and I. We both love the beach and I am sure Wil is wishing we had taken him to the beach instead of having his wisdom teeth taken out. He is doing quite well. My furry brothers and I have kept a close watch on him. He only had one stitch on the upper left side. He is still in some pain and eating squishy, soft food. THANK YOU for all your prayers!

Prayer Request
Please pray for my human brother, Wil. He is having oral surgery in the morning (Friday) at 10am. He is quite nervous about his procedure. My furry brothers and I really love Wil. He helps our parents take care of us and he does a great job. Thanks ahead of time for your prayers for our Wil!

Mommie Escaped
Thank goodness Ms. Dianne brought our mommie home. She left last week and spent four days on Hatteras Island with Ms. Dianne. This was her view. We fur babies are still cranky. She left out of here and did not take us with her. We know Ms. Dianne has a dog friendly house and we are not sure if we are going to get over the trauma of being left behind any time soon. Mom has tried to explain, but we are not sure we believe her. Mom says they did not stay in the dog friendly house and Ms. Dianne had lots of work to do. What does that have to do with anything important, we ask? We are special and we should "always" get to go where mom goes.

K-9 Document Destruction Service
This furry beauty lives in my neighborhood. Her name is Timber. She and her brother Wolfie use to live at Bark. They were both rescued from horrid conditions. We don't talk about it much, because that is in the past and we don't want to remind them of those nasty humans who treated them badly.
They chose their humans carefully. Miss Timber is a Daddy's girl. She even likes to help him with his home work. I suppose it's a good thing he is the owner of the company, otherwise he might get in BIG trouble. Apparently, these contracts did NOT meet Timber's approval. Her human Dad, also named Doug has resorted to taking pictures when Timber reviews his contracts. It seems he had a difficult time convincing the other humans involved of Timber's dismay over their contracts. This picture definitely says it all. Timber's Dad has more work to do.

Fur Baby Transgression
What would you do if your furry baby chewed up something really important? Mom has a friend whose fur babies chewed through the bank bag for an organization they are involved in. The humans are distraught and asked for prayer. Of course, Mom is praying and Dad, too.
Nanuq, Trouble, and I can't understand why humans get so upset about furry accidents. You know it was an accident. Those receipts probably did NOT even taste good. We are considering a furry visit to teach those little fur babies to steal good stuff, like steaks and chicken off the grill or out of the grocery bags when their humans turn there back.
I will pass on Mom's prayer request since most humans don't understand things in the fur baby world. I sure hope we have our humans trained to be compassionate when facing situations like this in the human world. Please pray for understanding as they have to explain their cute little fur babies transgression to a lot of humans who need to see receipts, etc. Mom is mighty thankful we have not chewed up anything that belonged to someone else....well....at least not yet.

Nanuq Speaks
Hi, Nanuq here! Sitka is tired this morning, so I hijacked his blog. I am an old guy and thought it might be fun to sneak in while my furry brothers and human mom and dad were not looking. They would never think about me doing such a thing. I am quite, gentle, and rarely say much. I am dad's buddy.
Yesterday, mom and our human brother, Wil brushed Sitka and I for hours. They took away an entire garbage bag of our fluff. Really, do they have to brush us for so long. Sitka doesn't seem to mind, but I would much rather have a good long nap than have mom attack me with those brushes. Mom does not allow a mat or tangle in my fur. I suppose I should be thankful, but I am an old guy who likes to spend my days curled up on a big fluffy bed. Arthritis plagues my hips and knees. My looks are no longer my greatest concern. I sure hope mom lets me sleep my way through today. I hope she has put those brushes away for a few days. Gotta go; my orthopedic doggie bed is calling.
Living the good life,
Nanuq

Another Year Older
On April 7th I turned 6 years old. Another year with my humans and many more blessings. I am thankful GOD brought me into my parents lives. I am not sure any other human would have endured my stubbornness and quirky habits. Dad often says, "You met your match with your human mommies. She is just as stubborn as you are!" He and many other humans would have given up on me. Not my mom, she just kept working with me. I have challenged Mom many times over the last 6 years, yet she continued to teach me many new tricks and obedience skills. I look forward to what GOD has for us, humans and canines over the next year.
