Macy Trades Her Earthly Paws For Heavenly Wings

Yesterday afternoon, Macy traded in  her earthly paws for heavenly wings. She was a blessing to our family, human and furry for so many years. She spent 16 1/2 years selflessly giving love and being there for our humans when they were alone or hurt. Macy taught us furry siblings many valuable lessons. She was clearly our senior by many years and knew the ways of the world. She will be missed by each of us, human and furry  more than we can express.

Our human Mommie and Daddy are out of town. Our human brother, Wil had to take Macy to the vet  yesterday. We are proud of Wil for doing what was best for Macy. We know it was terribly difficult for him. He held her in his arms most of the morning. He knew those would be his last hours with her this side of heaven. Macy came into our family when Wil was 3 years old and she was 2 years old. Mom often said, "Macy thinks Wil is her puppy." It was quite evident she loved everyone, but favored Wil and Mom.

Thank you, Wil for being the young man GOD created you to be and the big human brother Macy needed. We love you and are very proud of you. We could not ask for a better human brother.

Sitka's Definition of Family

Families come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Biology does NOT make a family. Humans can be so weird sometimes. I am thankful my humans understand the true meaning of family. They have a blended family with adopted children, biological children, and furry kids. Bloodlines are NOT important to them. They love all their kids, human and furry! They do not show favor or partiality. I just wish more humans could "get it" and I know my Mom and Dad feel the same way when they try to tell others about their kids, grandkids, and furry kids! I can sometimes feel the frustration when people do NOT understand our definition of family.

A family is a group of humans or furry critters that love, support, and pray for one another! Could some of my followers please pray with me. The world could be a much better place if people would follow this simple principle!

Where Did The Snow Go?

Where oh, where did my beautiful snow go? The local weatherman just proclaimed another 99 degree day with possible triple digits. Did he really have to say "triple" digits. Mom and I have got to start praying for snow, immediately. It is an emergency! I know, I know, you guys like the hot weather. I admit, even mom gets cranky if it stays too cold too long, but mom doesn't seem to whine about it when we have snow. She only whines when it is cold and there is NO good reason for it.
