Obey or Disobey

Mom, Dad, and I experienced many beautiful adventures this past week. We hiked the mountainside and enjoyed watching lots of wildlife. There were a few times when Mom and I found rest amongst the leaves.

Mom and I disagreed on one thing. I call it "the chase." There were the cutest deer everywhere. I wanted to play chase with them. Mom said, "NO." Once or twice, I considered bolting, anyway.

Clearly, the choice is mine: Obey or disobey! In life we have many choices and some of them are difficult. Deep inside, I know I need to obey Mom and Dad, but the temptation is real and it is difficult at times.

I am a big boy and I am very strong. I could chose to go my own way, but it would break my parents heart.

What kind of choices are you faced with and whose heart might you break if you disobey?

Woofs and Wags,

Oh Sitka...your words are beautiful and so true. The flesh can be so strong when temptation raises it's ugly head.

Here's another great blog post about obeying

Thank the Heavenly Father that with his help we can over come ALL temptation.

Sitka, we're all the same I guess when it comes to obeying/disobeying...You're very sensitive about not breaking your parents' hearts and that's a good thing. Here are so many pats on your back :)
Thank you to sister Sheryl for mentioning one of my post. I'm blessed that it helps some about this. To God be the glory! Glad you all had a fun time up in the mountains.

Sitka, I love this picture of you and Mom! A week in the mountains to pray....I am so jealous! Otto would be jealous of all the time you got to romp around in the wilderness. The best he gets is to chase the squirrels and rabbits in our backyard. He hasn't gotten one yet!!

I have a pet rabbit, and Otto obeys us and doesn't bother Daffy when we let him out of his cage. As a result, Daffy is very brave and will go nose to nose with Otto! They are very funny to watch together.

I've put your button and Mom's button on my blog!

Woofy Blessings, Leslie
