That's NOT Fair

Watching the news last night, I learned Oklahoma is enjoying a wonderful snowstorm and they do NOT appreciate it. They were complaining because it is spring and they have snow. I am complaining because they got my snow and it was 80 degrees here, yesterday.

When we awoke this morning it was raining. I don't want rain. I want snow!

Mom says, "we always want what we don't have or what someone else has....we are not satisfied with what GOD has given us." Boy does Mom know how to make me feel bad for complaining about not getting the snow. GOD has blessed me with a wonderful family, a great home, and an awesome job. What more could I ask for?

"Snow and lots of it," I say to Mom. Seriously, today I will try to be thankful and not fret about others getting the weather I like. How about you? What do you have to be thankful for?

Woofs and Wags,

Sitka

I'm having a hard day today and it's hard to be thankful. I am thankful that my husband lets me bake cupcakes. And that I have the money to bake cupcakes.

Awe, sorry to hear you don't have snow. Gina, my furry friend, asked that I offer her support for your thankful heart. She loves snow too and is sad that she didn't get much to play in this winter.

Hugs and tail wags,

Gina's mom, Karlene

Sitka your mom is right, we do always want what we can't have but right now I'm so grateful that spring has finally made its was to my part of the world. We've had so much snow and for so long that I believe even you would get tired of it in the end. Well, if you can't have snow I wish you sweet dreams about it at least :-)

My little puppy dog is loving the 65 degree weather! I'm happy with it too. But, I agree, I would rather have snow than 80 degree weather. Hope you get at least one more good snow before Spring stays around.

I understand, Sitka. I think you like snow especially because you look beautiful in it.

I guess sometimes we have to learn how to share, huh Sitka? I have a hard time with that too sometimes.

I'm thankful for friends like you who make me laugh. :)

Hello Andrea Happy days for you now and always, I love your picture with your dogs, oh, you have a bunch of them. I wish we could have one dog, but with our present arrangement it cannot be done, maybe after three years when we could go home we can have pets again. Thanks for your post, love it.

I have so much to be thankful for. One thing I am thankful for is that we did not get Oklahoma's snow. Tell your mom I'm sorry for complaining about it as well, we just had too much this year - bring on the sun.....

But she is very right, the grass always looks greener on the other side. We need to learn how to live and enjoy where God plants us.
