Back To Business

Last night, Nanuq and I visited the patients at CSH, Petersburg, Virginia. We were happy to see them and they seemed happy that we came. There were a couple of new patients. One older lady stands out in my mind, this morning. She was a bit unsteady and shaky. At first she was afraid, but mom told her the reason I was howling (speaking malamute to her) was because I wanted her to pet me. As soon as she leaned down, I rolled over and she began to rub me. She had a great big smile on her face.

It was great to get back to business. I am thankful we could visit. I hope all of you are doing well. Ms. Ina left a comment on my last article saying, "We are having a blizzard." I must admit, I am a bit jealous. It was 70 degrees here, yesterday and Ms. Ina gets to play in the snow. I am sending Ms. Ina a big furry cyber hug and I hope she thinks of me each time GOD gives her more winter wonderland.

Woofs and Wags,

Sitka

May your belly be rubbed, Sitka, by all those who need to give of themselves and feel so safe with you. Such a blessing.
Tell your Mom that I am glad she is feeling better, that she could take you last night.

Oh thank you Sitka! I do hope it is the last blizzard, however, my throat is a bit sore this evening. It is cold too and I think I will start a fire! I love you Sitka, and your mom, Andrea for your unending kindness.

Miss Kit is probably home by now. We enjoyed her visit very much. She truly loves dogs and is great company. We hope she will come back next year, or in her RV with hubby and dogs.

xoxoxo to you, dear Sitka.

I must have missed some posts. Who is Ms. Ina, and who is the white dog between Nanuq and Sitka?

Andrea said...

Beth:
Ms. Ina is a blogger in Alaska that follows my blog. The little white dog in the picture is my brother, Trouble. He is also a therapy dog. He mostly goes to nursing homes.

Thanks for that information, Sitka. I am almost afraid to ask how Trouble got his name, but I'm curious, so I will ask.

Andrea said...

Ms. Beth,
Trouble is a 10 year old toy poodle. That makes him my "older" brother. Dad rescued him when he was a tiny baby...and I do mean tiny. Dad said, "he weighed just a few pounds." Someone threw him out under our mailbox. Anyway, I understand that when he was little he would sneak into the bath rooms and tear out all the trash...and that is how they chose his name..he kept getting into trouble. He is actually a quite dignified and extremely well behaved little guy. He will heal off lead behind Nanuq and I while we are healing beside mom. All mom has to do is point and say his name and he gets into position.

I'm glad you're back on the job Sitka. I can see why you enjoy your job. Asking people for belly rubs sounds like it's what you were designed for. :)
