Responsibilities
Tonight, Dad was not feeling well. I stayed home to take care of him and Mom took Nanuq to Dog Therapy at Central State Hospital. Nanuq had a great evening giving furry hugs and getting belly rubs. I was happy to keep Dad company while Mom was away. I missed Dog Therapy, but sometimes Mom gives me other important responsibilities. Tonight, it was my job to make sure Dad was happy and okay. Mom said, both our jobs are equally important.
Woofs and Wags,

Hi Sitka - hope Dad is feeling better.
Your coat is good for 40 below?? Wow! We're supposed to get some wicked wind chills the next 2 days. I guess I'll find out what I'm made of... whether I want to or not!!
I your hope dad is feeling better especially since you are keeping him company. Your a good dog Sitka and your mom is the dearest mom ever!
My prayers are being said for your dad tonight.
Lots of Love & Big Hugs,
Alleluiabelle
You are such a good dog...I know your mom and dad love you to pieces!
HI Andrea! Hope your Dad feels better! Happy New Year to you!
Hope all get well soon. It's not fun to see family sick. Pups DO help though.
I hope your Dad is on the mend. When I was visiting Mom in the NJ rehab facility there was a gorgeous Dobie named Shazaam who visited and brought joy to the patients and their guests! As soon as I get my laptop repaired I will post a picture of this gentle giant. The value of therapy dogs is absolutely Priceless... xoxo
I have a BIG prayer request for your mom Sitka.
My lab Max that is a hyper bunch of Labrador energy was placed with a loving family last fall. It appears that the dad of the house is having some health issues and they have asked to return Max to me. While this THRILLS my heart--as I love Max so much, it doesn't quite do the same for my husband.
We are praying for this situation. I am supposed to get him tomorrow--I am thrilled to get to see my baby again--but my situation of "time" at home has not changed--nor has my husband's heart about this. I think it's Max's energy level that was so frustrating to him---since Max chewed up two swings in our back yard. The swings were the metal kind, but had cushions in the seat, back and a "top" of outdoor fabric...yeah. He was bored. He only chewed up the seat cushions...Well...my friend's lab chewed up a whole cedar tree...so for him to be just 1 year old in February...that's pretty good huh?
All joking aside..this is serious to me--and I would love nothing more than to be able to stay at home---thereby having all the time I need for him---BUT that may not be what God desires.
So--just tell your mom to pray. God will help us in this.
Dogs are great for giving love and making you feel better!
Oh I love your blog! Can't wait to see more again. Hope he is feeling better soon.
Every task that God gives has great value. Hope your dad is feeling better.
Nanuq looks beautiful playing in the snow!
What a sweet canine soul you are to stay home and tend to your ill father. I really hope that he's on the mend and am sending healing thoughts your family's way.
Oodles of hugs,
♥ Jessica
