Sitka Spruce
Today, I am sharing a beautiful picture taken by Mom's special friend, MaryGrace. MaryGrace is a dear friend. She loves Mom and she loves "everyone" in "The Perdue Zoo."
While traveling this summer, MaryGrace took a picture of this tree for mom. It is a SITKA SPRUCE. Thank you, MaryGrace!
I could not believe there was a tree named after me. Mom assured me the tree came first, but God knew I was coming along. The silly humans may not have known, but GOD did.
There is also a city in Alaska named, Sitka. Mom and Dad told me they chose my named because it means, "by the sea" and they both love the sea. Sitka was also the Russian Capital of Alaska before America purchased it. I think we should have kept its beautiful coastal city as the capital, but I am a dog and no one would have listened to me or my furry ancestors.
Hope you are all enjoying your journey.
Woofs and Wags,
Sitka

Beautiful picture. What an amazing God to make such an incredible thing. How anyone can say it just happened blows me away.
Just stopping by from Kat's to see what is happening over here.

Hello............ Thanks for coming by my blog and the sweet comment..... I am reminded of the scripture where it tells us to encourage each other as we see that day approaching! Do you see it? I do....... be encouraged and great joy for our redemption draweth nigh!
Good morning Sitka. It is so cool that you have a tree named after you. Have you staked it as "yours" yet. Have a "oh boy, I chased a squirel today" day. Woofs and wags. Kelby
