Setting The Record Straight

I hear mom has been talking about me, my furry siblings, and even my human brothers and sisters on her blog, Arise2Write. Don't believe everything you read. I don't know what she could possibly be referring to. Challenging.....not me, not my human siblings either. Well, maybe the humans, but not us fur babies. We would never drag her up trees, throw up on her expensive rugs, or chew up her brand new $500 eye glasses. Nope, not us!

Just setting the record straight!

Dad and Mom

Mom and Dad spent fourteen days in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They came home with lots of great pictures. My furry brothers and I are happy they had a great time, however we are very jealous. They left us with our human siblings. We would have much rather been strolling the beach with our parents. It's just not fair. They know how much we love to travel. What were they thinking?

Mom shared from her personal journal her blog, Arise 2 Write. Dad encouraged her not to keep the beautiful words God gave her to herself. Dad told her, "they should be in a book somewhere!" Mom says, "Dad is too gracious!"  We agree with Dad. Mom should keep writing and sharing.

Cooler Temps Make Me Happy

Finally, the temperatures are dropping. Mom and I played in the yard yesterday. We danced, jumped around, and enjoyed the wonderful cool breeze. My winter coat is coming in thick. Mom predicts a cold winter and I sure hope she is right. I love snow. I am bringing my furry paws together praying GOD gives me lots of it.

For those of you who don't like snow, remember I suffered through those hot summer months you love and I tried not to complain. I am thankful my humans are gracious enough to allow me to hover over the air conditioning vents through out spring and summer. Otherwise, I might have become cranky, too.

Prayer Requests

Today, I am thankful! My human mom had surgery, yesterday. She did not tell many people and she also did not tell my furry brothers and I. Dad brought her back home and put her to bed. We knew she needed us. I never left her side. She doesn't leave my side when I don't feel well and I was not about to leave her. Yesterday, she had a tough day, but she is much better this morning. She is sipping her coffee and clinging to her heating pad and Bible. We are remaining close and will continue to make sure she gets what she needs. If  dad is not quick enough to respond to her, we bark and paw at him. He is a great dad and husband. He never left Mom's side either.

There has been a lot going on around our house and we received more news last night of more prayer needs. Mom has sat up long enough to post it all on her blog, Arise 2 Write. Please jump over and storm the heavens with Mom for several people in URGENT need of prayer. Mom has a prayer button for her friend MaryGrace on Arise 2 Write, but has not posted on here, yet. Please pick it up over there. She hopes to have one for Kailly, soon.

Winter In Richmond, Virginia

Wednesday, Dad, Nanuq, and I kidnapped Mom and enjoyed a day in the sunshine. Wednesday was a warm winter day. The high here in Richmond was 58 degrees! That is down right hot for us Nordic guys! Mom is still recovering from over three weeks of sickness and she was a little cranky, at first. However, as the day progressed she lost the crankiness and enjoyed our walk. The warm sun must have made her feel better. I am thankful we were able to get out while it was warm. Today, the temperatures are quite cold. Nanuq and I love the bitter cold temperatures, but it seems to be a bit more difficult for our humans. God did not equip them to handle it as well as HE did us furry kids!

With Each Sunset

With the setting of each days sunset, I am reminded of HIS blessings and presence!

Forever amazed by HIS presence,
Andrea

PS: Mom is so tired she posted on my blog instead of hers. Her post is so beautiful I will leave it. I love my mommie! Woofs and Wags, Sitka Delete

A Call To Prayer

I have a great doggie story to tell you, but for now it must wait. There are so many who need prayer. Nearly every human Mom, Dad, and I know is in a stormy place of one kind or another. Mom has more details over at her blog, Arise 2 Write. I hope you will go over and commit to "storm the heavens" as Mom calls it on behalf of so many in need.

Furry Visits

Last night, I left Nanuq at home with Macy and Trouble while I visited the patients at Central State Psychiatric Hospital. Nanuq's leg is better, but still not completely well. Trouble and Macy took very good care of him while we were away.

The patients were happy to see us. There were a couple of new patients who needed to receive furry love and attention. It is always great to visit with those who need a special touch. Sometimes they are afraid, but as soon as I roll over with my feet in the air they smile and begin to pet me. I suppose I do look a bit silly upside down!

Thanks for continuing to pray for our ministry. Thank you for continuing to come and read about all GOD is doing in our furry lives. Indeed, GOD has a perfect plan for us....not just for our humans!

A Tub of Love

Savannah was playing in my Dad's old tub. I decided it looked like fun. I climbed in with her and Mom took our picture. Savannah is my parents first grandchild. They adore her and so do I. She is quite polite with us furry kids. She is 2 1/2 years old and understands she must be polite and kind to animals. I wish everyone understood how important it is to teach their little children to be gentle with animals.

We enjoyed our weekend with Savannah. Maybe she can stay with us again, soon.
