SNOW, SNOW, PRAISE GOD FOR SNOW!

On February 12th God began answering my prayers and as you can see I was quite happy about it. SNOW, SNOW, PRAISE GOD FOR SNOW! Doesn't it make each of you feel good to know God cares about a furry critters prayers? I hope you are each reminded of how much GOD cares for you and wants to hear from you. One of the cool things about God is that he understands every language, even the woofs and howls of an old malamute. After all, he authored all our languages. What an amazing GOD we have......

So, put your furry and human paws together and as mom would say, "storm the heavens in prayer!" Tell Him all those things you can't tell your closest friend. You will not shock Him. He loves you and wants you to feel His loving presence. Once again, if I can embrace the God who created me, so can you.

Me, I'm praying for more snow......

That's NOT Fair

Watching the news last night, I learned Oklahoma is enjoying a wonderful snowstorm and they do NOT appreciate it. They were complaining because it is spring and they have snow. I am complaining because they got my snow and it was 80 degrees here, yesterday.

When we awoke this morning it was raining. I don't want rain. I want snow!

Mom says, "we always want what we don't have or what someone else has....we are not satisfied with what GOD has given us." Boy does Mom know how to make me feel bad for complaining about not getting the snow. GOD has blessed me with a wonderful family, a great home, and an awesome job. What more could I ask for?

"Snow and lots of it," I say to Mom. Seriously, today I will try to be thankful and not fret about others getting the weather I like. How about you? What do you have to be thankful for?

Let It Snow

Last week, God answered Mom's prayers and mine, too! Mom and I "love" snow. We prayed for weeks for a blizzard. We did not get a "real" blizzard, but we received 10 inches of beautiful, fluffy snow. I love to run and jump in the snow and Mom finds great joy in watching me play.

We have remnant patches of snow around, but most of it is gone. Mom and I hope and pray we will get more. The song in our heart these days is: "Let It Snow...Let It Snow...Let It Snow."

We are praying each of you had a wonderfully blessed Christmas and will find great joy and blessings in the new year!

Sitka's First Real Snow

I am still suffering with my knee, but Mom and Dad are doing their best to keep me comfortable. I am almost four years old and until today I was unable to experience more than a dusting of snow. Being a Nordic breed I longed for the beautiful fluffy flakes to spill forth from the heavens, but each year passed without a real snow.

I am thankful Mom and Dad love me enough to help me up and down steps over and over again. I am not a small guy, yet time and time again my parents sacrifice to make my life more comfortable. Today, they asked me if I would like to go out in the snow for a little while. My heart leaped at the chance to stroll around in the beautiful winter wonderland GOD has so graciously placed in our yard.

As I strolled through my beautiful yard I found my favorite red ball hidden carefully beneath the snow. Wow, a hidden treasure lay just below my feet. God is an awesome GOD! I was able to lay and paw at my squeaky ball while rolling and nuzzling in the snow without hurting my leg. I did not need to run and leap to have fun.

Sometimes we fret over our disabilities instead of making the best of them. Today was a day of thankfulness for each member of my family. Mom was no longer sad; she quickly realized the beauty of each gift GOD gives us, big or small.

Until my paws dance across Mom's laptop.....
