Meet Blaise

This handsome beauty is my friend, Blaise. He lives in Hanover County, Virginia on a beautiful lake at the end of a gravel road. He has lots of trails to walk on with his humans. Blaise is obedient and respectful earning him the privilege of walking without a leash. He is a really cool dude! Mom couldn't resist taking a picture of Blaise when she visited with he and his human Mom this week. Isn't it great to have wonderful friends, human and furry. Mom and I are thankful GOD has given us wonderful friends!

Winter In Richmond, Virginia

Wednesday, Dad, Nanuq, and I kidnapped Mom and enjoyed a day in the sunshine. Wednesday was a warm winter day. The high here in Richmond was 58 degrees! That is down right hot for us Nordic guys! Mom is still recovering from over three weeks of sickness and she was a little cranky, at first. However, as the day progressed she lost the crankiness and enjoyed our walk. The warm sun must have made her feel better. I am thankful we were able to get out while it was warm. Today, the temperatures are quite cold. Nanuq and I love the bitter cold temperatures, but it seems to be a bit more difficult for our humans. God did not equip them to handle it as well as HE did us furry kids!

Waiting On Snow

I heard the weather man say, "Snow is on it's way!" Yippee! Mom and I are eagerly waiting on the beautiful fluffy winter wonderland. My furry friends in Asheville, North Carolina have already received a lot of snow. I hope they don't get it all. Here in Richmond, Virginia we are still waiting. I am still learning to be patient. It is a tough virtue for a big furry guy to attain! Clearly, mom and I both are a work in progress. Mom struggles with patience, too. Don't tell her I told you. She really tries hard and I don't want her to be discouraged that we have noticed.

PS: Please continue to pray for mom. She continues to battle a lingering respiratory issue. Dad is well, but mom can't seem to shake the nasty stuff. She is better, but NOT well. Thank you all for praying!

Happy New Year

My human Dad graduated from Virginia Tech in 1965. He and I watched the bowl game this week, but it did not go well for the Hokies. Sanford played a better game. You win some...you lose some! Dad has taught us to be good sports. It is important to enjoy life's ballgames  no matter who wins or loses. I hope each of you have an awesome New Year!

PS: Mom and Dad ushered in the New Year with sickness. They are both recovering, but it is slow. Please continue to pray for them. I am thankful mom allowed my paws to dance across her computer, today. I missed all of you!
